Comparisons (तुलना) : एख्याद्या वस्तूची किंवा व्यक्तीच्या गुणवैशिष्ठ्यांची तुलना दुसऱ्या गोष्टीशी केली जाते. त्याला Comparisons म्हणतात.
उदा. as hot as sun (सूर्यासारखे उष्ण)
The weather in the summer is as hot as the sun
Comparisons चे प्रमुख प्रकार
१. Taller vs Shorter (उंच आणि ठेंगणा/लहान)
Giraffe is taller than a Zebra. (जिराफ झेब्रापेक्षा उंच असतो.)
Zebra is shorter than a Giraffe. (झेब्रा जिराफपेक्षा ठेंगणा असतो.)
२. Bigger vs Smaller (मोठा आणि लहान)
An Elephant is bigger than a Mouse. (हत्ती उंदरापेक्षा मोठा असतो.)
A Mouse is smaller than an Elephant. (उंदीर हत्तीपेक्षा लहान असतो.)
३. Faster vs Slower (वेगवान आणि सावकाश)
A Cheetah runs faster than a Turtle. (चित्ता कासवापेक्षा वेगाने धावतो.)
A Turtle moves slower than a Cheetah. (कासव चित्त्यापेक्षा हळू चालते.)
